Species for New and Replacement Planting of Specimen Trees
This list comprises the recommended species to be planted to replace ailing trees and as new specimens. All new specimen planting should contribute to the restoration of indigenous vegetation, the re-establishment of resources for mahinga kai (food gathering), the reinforcement of the Christchurch Garden City image, and/or the use and enjoyment of the local area.
