- Roading (see back)

They didn't consult in-depth with the residents about

whether the residents want them or not, because they
can't get out of the contract with the bus company
- There should have been more consultation over the
transport issue - over changing the bus routes and it's

flowers planted, but we have grass. Why weren't we asked
our preference for the street verges

awful. They don't consult, they just come down. There is
not enough public input e.g. Centennial Pool coming down
- The Convention Centre seemed to be a fait accompli
- The destruction of Kaiapoi Woollen Mills. The destruction
of the old Hurst and Drake building in High St. Lack of a
city plan to preserve our historic buildings

as the City Council is keeping rates down, but debt needs
to be repaid

established boating facility in the inner Lyttelton
Harbour

is the council trying to do too much in this financial

right out of the blue
- Cave Rock development
- The major apartment developments in Sumner. Insufficient
terms of reference for public to have an effective say
- Paying for Convention Centre. Need to consult on air
pollution - some tie up with Southpower on this
- Believe council is borrowing too much money for what it
is achieving - more public input eg shares in port
company not needed. Real concern about finances -too much
burden on future citizens
- Have I missed something about the new art gallery? There
should be an architectural competition for the design of
the new gallery

literally on the footpath

going to have a restaurant there and bungy thing. They
should ask the public what we want on it

something happened we don't know who to contact. We try
to help each other here and I feel this has been
overlooked
- The redevelopment of the Square and the Centennial Pool
redevelopment

They've since been put back up after a lot of effort by
the women petitioning the Council etc
